Myki Cards
For Free Travel (Under 18, from Jan 1, 2026)
- Youth myki Card: This is your main pass, and you must tap on and off.
- Proof of Age: For 17 and 18-year-olds, you need ID (student ID card, birth certificate, passport) to prove you’re under 18.
Get your Youth myki
Register for your Youth myki by:
- logging into your myki account
- creating a new account.
You will receive an email which you can use for valid travel whilst you wait for it to arrive.
What you need to know about Youth myki
To access free travel, buy a Youth myki card and tap on every time you travel.
Youth mykis purchased online will expire on your 18th birthday.
